XFire is a cancelled PC game by SirTech Software.
It was to be an isometric action game.
Plot
In the distant future, a barren planet depleted of its natural resources looks grim.
To save their species, some of the population is sent out to explore and get resources.
Years pass. One day they finally return to wage war and take back the planet.
Gameplay
You can either play as the local Puritans or the outcast Genetics.
Either way you will lead your side to victory with their own unique missions.
The enemies and terrain differs on the selected protagonist.
The game has a solid single player but the emphasis was on the multiplayer.
You can play in online tournaments or just a free-for-all.
There was also to be new levels and graphics to download.
Cancellation
XFire was cancelled in 1998 for when their US offices closed.
