Times of Trouble is a cancelled PS2, Xbox, and GameCube game by 4x Studios.
It was to be an arcade-action RPG with a top-down perspective game.

Plot

You would play as Zak, a young boy working in an oil well.
His job at the oil well doesn't last long due to the economic collapse of the world.
Various political factions rise up and battle for supremacy. You must rebuild the world.

Gameplay

The game was to have an innovative real-time combat system.
Your party can have up to three characters at a time.
You can utilise spell combinations for combo attacks.

Cancellation

Times of Trouble was cancelled in late 2002 when 4x Studios closed its studio doors.
