Thornado is a cancelled N64 and then GameCube game by Factor 5.
It was to be a third-person platformer shooter.
Plot
You would play as Thor, the god of thunder.
He has wind-based weapons, guns, and a grappling hook.
Development
The game started off as Turrican 64 for the Nintendo 64.
Factor 5, however, couldn't secure the rights with SoftGold.
The game was thereby christened Thornado.
A demo of Thornado was shown at E3 1997.
According to Factor 5, the graphics of Thornado wasn't up to scratch.
With the GameCube on the dawn, Factor 5 moved the project to the new next-gen console.
A demo of the GameCube version was shown off during Spaceworld 2000.
Cancellation
Sometime in 2001 the game was cancelled due to Factor 5 focusing their resources on Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader.
