The Diabolical Adventures of Tobu is a cancelled PlayStation game from 989 Studios.
It was to be a third-person aerial combat game.
Plot
You would play as lad named Tobu.
Your uncle has been captured by the evil emperor Nen Hithol.
To save him you have to collect seven lotus leaves in every level.
Gameplay
The game would control like a hybrid of Pilotwings and Panzer Dragoon.
The game would have outdoor levels to explore and indoor levels with puzzles.
You would need to take advantage of up drafts, chutes, and collect powerups to succeed.
Development
The game was in development from 1997 to 1999.
Cancellation
989 Studios did some restructuring and focused on Twisted Metal 4 instead of this game.
On April 1st, 2000, 989 Studios merged back into SCEA to prepare for the PS2.
