The hundreds of years of incarceration has made him weak.
Visions of a beautiful woman begging for help has him break out of prison to rescue her.

Gameplay

The game was to have Lord of the Rings feel to it, with vast woods, orcs, and castles.
Combat would have melee with swords, and ranged with crossbow and vampiric magic.
There was also a variety of puzzles to solve, some of which require your magic.

For multiplayer there would be deathmatches.
New arenas via DLC was planned.

Cancellation

Shadow of the Sun was cancelled due to no publisher being interested.
HotHead Studios cut their losses and worked on Hyper Streetracing instead.
