Seed is a cancelled PC game by Human Soft.
It was to be a first person shooter set in the distant future.

Plot

Humanity has been in a very long struggle with Aliens.
The people of Earth rebel against their useless governments and riots flare up.
The Aliens launch their secret weapon - the Seed - which will civilization from beneath.

Our hero is a mercenary who has had experience working for organised crime.
He looks like yellow-brown humanoid wearing no clothes.
Our quest is to destroy the Aliens and their seeds.

Gameplay

Our protagonist has a weapon permanently affixed to his right hand, held in place by tentacles.
We can switch between weapon modes: nail gun, missile launcher, and buzzsaw for melee attacks.

This game was notable in its Quake-like level design, with lots of verticality.
Some of these levels were probably re-purposed as multiplayer deathmatch levels.

Cancellation

Seed was cancelled around late 1999 due to being unable to find a publisher.

Prototypes

Both demos.
