Major Damage is an cancelled PlayStation and Saturn game by Capcom.
It was to be a sidescroller action game.
Plot
You would play as Major Damage, the superhero saviour of Retro City.
Your job is to destroy the bad guys by causing major damage.
This would give the construction workers jobs to do.
Gameplay
Major Damage was a sidescroller platformer game in the vein of Contra.
There were sixteen levels spread out over five worlds.
There was to be multiplayer too, with both players controlling a character each.
Cancellation
Major Damage was cancelled in 1997 due to the failing Sega Saturn.
Capcom also wasn't too pleased about the game's quality.
The game was almost complete, so it was pitched to Sony.
Sony turned them down.
