Jack and the Beanstalk is a cancelled 64DD game by JACK and BEANS (division of HAL Laboratory).
The classic fairytale was to have an inspiration on Nintendo.

Gameplay

The game seemed to be like Harvest Moon.
You can walk around, plant seeds, and do other things.
The 64DD's internal clock which would have grown the seeds in real time.

The most unique feature was the camera.
You can take photos of things in-game. This functionality was reworked into Pokemon Snap.

Cancellation

HAL shifted from the fairy tale into a franchise that would surely shift sales i.e. Pokemon.
They also moved gaming production from the 64DD to the regular N64.
This was probably around the same time they did the same to Earthbound 64.
