Elemental is a cancelled Xbox game from KnowWonder Digital Media Works.
It was to be a third-person action adventure game.

Plot

You would play as Jayden, tasked with stopping the apocalypse of his planet.
All the fragments of a magic disk must be collected to prevent the prophecy.

Gameplay

There are four main areas of the game based on the basic elements: fire, water, earth, and air.
The two dimensions, life and death, play into it.
This was to be a non-linear game of exploration.

You possess a single weapon that an access the four aforementioned elements.
You can do combos to string together successive attacks of the same or differing elements.
The swarming enemies in this game can morph into stronger singular creatures.

Development

Having signed a contract with Microsoft, KnowWonder got to work on games for the new Xbox.
This announcement was made on March 10th, 2000.

Cancellation

Instead of working on Elemental, KnowWonder worked on licensed games.
Harry Potter games and games based on various animated cartoons and movies were their focus.
Their barely-public game Elemental faded away.
