Cratered is a cancelled PC game by Furious Entertainment.
It was to be a 3D multiplayer-based naval shoot em up.
Plot
In a post-apocalyptic future, two tribes struggle for naval supremacy.
These are the Might of Columbiad and the Carpacian League.
They must destroy the other for complete control over the ocean.
The game's title get its name from the last conflict before the start of the game.
The Columbiad army were withdrawing the last ship and the Carpacian League launched a big attack.
This created a crater on the Carpacian's home planet. They bombed their own planet.
Gameplay
As you destroy enemy ships you earn money.
Use that money to buy better ships and weapons.
Each team would have four different classes of ship.

There was to be 8 different boats, 12 weapons, and 2 locations.
Development
Cratered was made with multiplayer in mind.
Plans for AI bots were devised.
An Xbox port was also considered.
Cancellation
Cratered was cancelled in around 2003 when Furious Entertainment went defunct.
