Blades of Rage is a cancelled PS1, Saturn and PC game by Ocean Software.
It was to be a helicopter flight sim with some Ace Combat mixed in.
Gameplay
The aim of the game is to pilot your helicopter around and do a variety of jobs.
These range from transporting cargo and people, to shooting down targets.
You could of piloted up to six customizable choppers.
Each can be tailor fit with weapons to suit the task.
Cancellation
Ocean Software was acquired by Infogrames in 1996.
The shakeup to the company likely caused this game to be scrapped.
This game was possibly reworked into Viper.
It was one of the last games from Ocean before being renamed to Infogrames United Kingdom.
It is still a helicopter game, but rather than shooting at bad guys it's aliens.
