Big Guns and then Exodus is a cancelled PS1 game from Neversoft.
The game was a third person mech shooter.
Development
In 1996 Neversoft began working on Big Guns.
Shiny Entertainment were impressed enough to allow Neversoft to do a port of MDK.
Neversoft continued tinkering with Big Guns.
In late 1996 Neversoft sold the idea of Big Guns to SCEA.
The technology they built for the game was later used for the PS1 port of MDK.
Sony took Big Guns and retitled it to Exodus.
They changed the game from a mech shooter to an action game.
The protagonist was changed from a mech to a girl who morphed into a catgirl.
Cancellation
Exodus was eventually cancelled in November 1997.
